This is it. This is what it is really all about. That building part of the reason why I am driven right now. Whilst I was on a mission, I decided I would not be speed skating when I returned home. It was a tough but necessary decision for me to grow and progress.
Somehow, someway, I was directed to attend the LDS Business College. I had received a packet from them while I was in Australia with some brochures and things inside. I took one look at the name and dismissed the idea. Then I had a good friend who suggested I go there. I don't know when I exactly made the decision but at some point within the first few weeks of being home I was accepted into the Fall 2012 semester at the BC.
My first semester was incredible. I learned a lot and really grew in my testimony of the Saviour. Unfortunately it wasn't really until the end of the semester I really was able to get the hang of the whole school thing. But now, I've been home for 6 months almost, and I am devoted and driven to get the most out of my education. Thanks to the amazing faculty, mentors, friends, and the inviting spirit that is at school, I really love each and EVERY day at school.
So as my life has sufficiently changed, so will this blog. For one, it's now called, "The Prophetic Destiny." A big focus for all of the BC's students to understand. For me, it has re-shaped my understanding of what Heavenly Father expects of me. It also has helped me apply the skills I've learned from serving a mission and finally cemented them into my core being. So every day that I'm at school I want to share a little bit of what I have learned that day as to how I am recognizing the prophetic destiny of this school and the experiences around me. Stay tuned... school starts tomorrow.
